What is "Informal Leadership Network"?
- Space to develop your ability to influence even if you don't have formal leadership
We now offer brand new facilitated development networks for informal leaders across all sectors. The development network is a network with a strong focus on learning growth for participants. It can be seen as a learning journey in informal leadership.
The network is for you if you are not a formal personnel manager, but still need to act in a managerial capacity in different situations. For example, you are a professional manager, an employee in a staff department such as quality, marketing or HR, a project manager, internal consultant or similar function, where you typically need to exert influence across the organization without having formal personnel responsibility for the people you need to influence.
Maybe you're challenged with finding resources for the goals you need to achieve, maybe you're struggling with the motivation and commitment of the people you need to bring on board, or maybe you find that you talk past each other or just see things very differently
Not only do you have to manage very different types of employees, but also your own formal manager and perhaps the formal managers of your stakeholders, as they have a big impact on the framework that can be created to ensure the best possible task performance.
Internships
The Development Network consists of 5 fully facilitated sessions per year:
Session 1: The first session is a special full-day session where we establish the group that will make up this intense network and talk about relevant topics for the upcoming meetings. Here we meet at a selected venue
Sessions 2-5: In each session, we will address the chosen theme. Of course, we will also discuss your current challenges as informal leaders and ensure that you take home both the experiences of others and new knowledge. These are half days of 4 hours, either morning or afternoon, whichever suits the participants best.
Where do we meet? In session 1, we meet at an external venue. For the following sessions, the ambition is to meet in shifts at the participants' homes. When/if this is not practical, we will of course arrange a meeting place.
Before each session, we send out relevant preparation for the session as well as an elaboration of the day's theme and what we will be working on.
Your benefits:
- You gain a better understanding of their role as an informal leader
- Strengthen your ability to collaborate and communicate with people who are different from yourself
- You'll have a much better foundation for managing all your stakeholders - whether they're your peers or bosses
- You'll be better equipped to deal with resistance to your agendas that you may encounter in the organization
- You get the foundation to become a much better informal leader
- You'll have a strong network of like-minded people you can draw on when you have a specific need for sparring
Each network will have a maximum of 14 participants so we can ensure a good connection between participants. When there are 12 on the list, we prepare for the start and a suggested start date is sent out and agreed upon with the participants.
